how long after someone from home depot comes to measure for carpet will the carpet actually get installed?

my local home depot is saying it will be next month. Is this true?

Also, if I know how much the measurements are can I take that and go somewhere else to get carpet?

      go somewhere else and get them to measure , if they do not and it turns out wrong you would be to blame

      It depends on who they contract with to do the installation. But a month isn’t out of line. We had to pay for the measuring so who you choose to actually lay carpet is up to you after that. Some companies promise next day installation. You’ll have to decide.

      Depends on the type of carpet. Is it special order? If it is then a month isn’t out of line. If it is in stock then a month would be a little crazy.
