Perfume-making as it Relates to Other Industries

Perfumery is an industry worth billions. It is not only involved with the obvious such as personal perfumes and scents, but also in the development of scents and flavors for a wide variety of household and food products. A cinnamon scented candle might have some of the same ingredients as some commercially made cinnamon snacks. The use of perfume also extends far beyond what we spray on our selves. A look in a cabinet full of household cleaning supplies would likely have products that have manufactured scents added on to them.
